The Ventures with Nokie Edwards Are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees

As announced Dec. 13, 2007, via the world's press, The Ventures and their famous, golden age lead guitarist Nokie Edwards are 2008 Inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Ventures are considered by many music historians to be the most influential instrumental combo and instrumental guitar-driven group in recording history, and certainly they are one of the most successful, with over 100 million albums sold to date.

Nokie Edwards is considered by many music historians to be a key to their sound with his blistering, twangy, yet melodic lead guitar work in such pioneering rock fields as surf, spy, space, hard rock and psychedelia music. In recent years, he has become Grammy- Nominated with his acclaimed work on Greenhaw Records in the fields of gospel and country. Nokie's great Ventures' period and classic Ventures hit songs are well-represented on Greenhaw Records albums GUITAR BAND CLASSICS and GUITARS OVER TEXAS.
