Are You The One

By Bruce Clifford

(8/19/01)

Can you sit in your own familiar world
Changing colors in the night
Taking the music right out of the sky
Separated by the circles of light
Are you the one who's lost in time

Can you walk through the excerpts of passage
Mesmerized by the enchanted star
Holding the truth close to your heart
Philosophy is who we now are
Are you the one who made it so hard

Are you the one who will no longer be a stranger
Are you the one who will send visions throughout the night
Are you the one who is obedient and a treasure
Are you the one who can make this seem so alive
Like a vampire, you really can't decide

Can you walk through the climax of consolation
Breathing on capsules in the warmth of a summer night
Radar and sunflower guard your silence and romance
The voice of the empty cry out secrets to the light
Are you the one who has kept me alive
Are you the one, I really can't decide
