Reunion

By Clara Blair

The space between us lies
Cluttered with memories
Distorted by time:
Loves and rivalries,
Tears and victories,
               You and I.

Altered by the rhythms
Of all our years apart,
I try to find them,
Kept as I remember,
Preserved as in amber
               In a sister’s heart.
