Moment in Time

By Bruce Clifford

I wish I could look inside your eyes
and tell what you are thinking
I wish I could set all the pain aside
and concentrate on living
And all I see is pain in this world
So many people dying before their time
All I see is the hurt man creates
The suffering man invents, it's a crime

I wish I could look inside your heart
but your heart is nowhere to be found
I wish I could read the thoughts in your mind
But your voice only makes a cryptic sound

I wish I could fly away from this place
Take me to another moment in time
I wish I could fly away from this place
Take me to another moment in time

Moment in time
Moment in time

Quiet their voice
Make not a sound
Quiet their voice
Make not a sound

I wish I could fly away from this place
Take me to another moment in time
I wish I could fly away from this place
Take me to another moment in time
Moment in time
Moment in time
