Imaginary Friend

By Bruce Clifford

I can hardly wait for that dream again
Now I know who was my imaginary friend
It gets so hard to see
It's kind of hard to believe
I can hardly wait to live that life once more

I shutter to think
I fall to the brink
But I know it's all worth fighting for

I wake in the night
I am ready to fight
Even though I want to know what I am fighting for
I can see through that door

I can hardly wait for your scent again
Now I know who was my imaginary friend
Ever since I was a kid you knew me better than anyone else
Ever since the first time we met I know you had me under your spell
It's so easy to tell

I can hardly wait for that dream again
Now I know you are my imaginary friend
I really don't what to say
I don't know who to tell
My imaginary friend is my secret I know so well
