A Good Book

By Bruce Clifford

I don't remember what it was like to live inside a dream
Taking in the view of the ocean blue is something like a make believe
You can catch on a day when I might be off, but my body detaches from its mind
Counting all the ways you could write me off before we get to the other side
It's a different kind of vibe

I'm lost in the shuffle of your falling out that has brought you to your knees
Fading to black is my only way out before the bottle and the sleaze
Think I will just sit back and read
