Run and Hide

By Bruce Clifford

Could this be the fight of what I'm living for
Would you hold the light as if it were pure
Could you find the end to this empty Island stream
Would you try to mend the fighting in the dream
Would you tell me what this could mean

Hide the blame
Light the flame
Deep inside
Run and hide

Could you open up the jar
Could you show us who you are
Hide the blame
Light the flame
Deep inside
Run and hide

Could this be the end of the panic and the sun
Would you take my hand and gather everyone
Could you run on empty spaces chasing lilacs in the rain
Would you meet me at the races where we could throw fire at the flame
Would you tell me who we could blame

Hide the blame
Light the flame
Deep inside
Run and hide
Run and hide

Would you hide away from me
Could you leave it out at sea
Would you open up the wool
Could you capture it in the spool

Hide the blame
Light the flame
Deep inside
Run and hide
Run and hide
Run and hide
