Think of Me

By Bruce Clifford

I would bet you would forget
All the circles and lavender in your head
If you could see what could be
Then you would have a chance to get ahead

Stop and listen to that sound
Drop your body to the ground

I would bet you would regret
All the deceit and lies that you project
When you walk this vacant talk
The road to the insane is the path of instant gain
Win or lose
The tie, the draw
We're not listening anymore

Stop and think of me
Just once in your lifetime
Think of me
Just once in your lifetime
Think of me

Pray for the night
Pray for the calm
Keep love in flight
Keep it out of the storm

Catch the early ship
Take another trip
Keep it alive
Keep it alive

I would bet you would forget
All the circles and lavender in your head
If you could see what could be
Then you would have a chance to get ahead

Stop and listen to that sound
Drop your body to the ground
