On A Lark

By Bruce Clifford

Pains taking journey
Ideas captured on a lark
Winds of change and time explode
Mesmerized by a crop of gold
In a world where time is bought and sold
Bought and sold

The love and the laughter
Memories left on a lark
The chaos runs faster
Indigo clouds at Oak Grove Park
The answer is yours when you're on a lark

Lost in time
Lost in a cloud
Lost in the vapor trail
Lost in my shroud

Memory takes
No one gives in
The heart and soul breaks
It defies every sin

The love and the laughter
All your dreams left on a lark
The night sky kills the blue sky
Evaporating until the end of time
Each day we live and try to survive

Pains taking journey
Ideas captured on a lark
Winds of change and time explode
Mesmerized by a crop of gold
In a world where time is bought and sold
Bought and sold
