The Same Way Again

By Bruce Clifford

If you can turn a light on and let it shine until tomorrow
Then you can learn to carry on
And put aside your sorrow
Capturing you here is the will to open spaces
Investing in your dreams, and when you're near,
My heart forever races

You and I together we go
Touch the sky and leave the chaos below
You and I, like daffodils in the rain
When I first looked at you I knew
I could never feel the same way again

If you can switch to another point in the sky
Then you will learn to shift the magic in your eyes
If you can turn a light on and let it shine until tomorrow
Then you can learn to carry on
And put aside your sorrow

You and I, together we go
Touch the sky and leave the chaos below
You and I like daffodils in the rain
When I first looked at you I knew
I could never feel the same way again

If I lived a lifetime or two
Then I know it was always me and you
And if I knew true love would prevail
Then I would not let it grow stale

If I captured the wind
Then I know you would always let me in
And if I knew the forces between
Then I would not be so extreme
