The Spec in Your Eye

By Bruce Clifford

I never meant to make you feel the way you feel today
If I had the chance to do it over again it would not come out the same
Because I know through the spec in your eye
And I know I gave you a reason to cry
I want to die

I always wished you would find faith in me And now there's a twist brewing in what was meant to be Because I know through pain in your heart And I know darling there's no new place to start

And I feel the sunshine burning like fire and ice I could sympathize for a moment until you turn on the light And I know through the spec in your eye Yes I know honey, but I know love shouldn't be denied

I never meant to make you feel the way you feel today If I had the chance to do it over again it would not come out the same Because I know through the spec in your eye And I know I gave you a reason to cry The spec in your eye The spec in your eye

Mirrors stand still Lines in the shade The spec in your eye Moments on parade
