Setting the Code to Three

By Bruce Clifford

I think I will walk away into the fog
As you turn your back on me
And the crystal playing sounds from other years
Setting the code to three
That's what we wanted to see

I know I lost it in the crowd
We've been getting it on for years
Some say I'm tired and some say I'm proud
Setting the code to three
That's the way it had to be

Points of light meet for a split second
Points of light meet
Points of light meet
And you missed it during the blink of an eye

I know I lost it in the crowd
It's never easy when the road is blocked
Some think I'm faking, some say I'm loud
Setting the code to three
Memory maker is what I was supposed to be

Setting the code to three
That's the way it was meant to be
