PC Healthcare

By John I. Blair

I’m healing the inanimate again,
This time a worm,
The last a virus.
My bedside manner
May be lacking
Involving as it does
A bag of salty popcorn.

But my PC doesn’t seem to mind.
It’s just relieved
I care enough to nurse it
Back to PC health,
Eating up my minutes
(And my popcorn)
Engrossed in PC care.

I’m fairly sure
It would return the favor
If it could
But depends instead
On specialist PCs
Down at the hospital
For me.
