Until We're Gone

By Bruce Clifford

Welcome to the season of change
Never given a reason to fall upon this place
Welcome to the end of rust
Quiet noises and endless cosmic dust

We travel onward until we reach the stars
We gather gamma rays as we rocket beyond Mars
We collect twilight and light
We leave the difference between day and night
We travel onward until we're gone

The Earth from up here is just a spec
All we left behind who we're trying to protect

We travel onward until we reach the stars
We gather gamer rays as we rocket beyond mars
We live on energy created by a void
We leave the light of the sun as gases are destroyed
We travel onward until we're gone

Until we're gone
No sign of life
Until we're gone
No day, no night
