A Garden Never is Forever

By John I. Blair

A garden never is forever,
No more than a life;
The glory of a flower
Fades in hours,
Days at most.

But here’s the prize:
Each moment in a garden
Taken mindfully
Puts one as near to paradise
As one may ever be.
