Life Line

By Bruce Clifford

I can't erase your memory
It's not like I'm not trying to set myself free
If there was a chance to break out of this
You're the one thing in this world I could never resist

I'm holding on for dear life now
Throw me a dream and a life line
I'm drifting above the sky now
Throw me my version of this life now
Show me who I can be

I can't erase your memory
I count to ten and still it's you who I see
I've tried so hard to get past this device
It draws me in and it cuts just like a knife

I'm holding on for dear life now
Throw me a dream and a life line
I'm drifting high above the city now
Show me the words, please show me how
Show me what we can be
