Fork in The Road

By Bruce Clifford

Excuse me If I feel kind of lost
Did I take a wrong turn not knowing what it would cost
You've got me cornered here in the babble of my dreams
Tell me, tell me now what all of this could mean

I can't believe you when you mumble out the truth
You won't persuade me when you attack with this verbal abuse
You've got me hypnotized as the panic settles in
I'm not sure who's at fault, but no one's going to win

Help me through that fork in the road
Help me, when you say 'some things are better off untold"

Excuse me if my mind doesn't seem to fit
I apologized, still you can't seem to get over it
You've got me wrapped all around your soul
Help me before i get too old

I can't get over you when you turn me inside out
You try to lather me with all of this anger, rage and doubt
You've got me mezmorized every second of every day
I can't pick up the pieces when your breath takes me away

Help me through this fork in the road
Which way am i headed now, where should I go
Help me find that one lost place in time
Help me through this fork in the road

Fork in the road
Where do I go
Fork in the road
If I go this way would i be mistaken

I can't believe you when you mumble out the truth
You won't persuade me when you attack with this verbal abuse
You've got me hypnotized as the panic settles in
I'm not sure who's at fault, but no one's going to win
