Breaking My Heart Today

By Bruce Clifford

You're breaking my heart today
I don't know what to do
It's not making it any easier
As I sail along without you

You're breaking my heart today
Nothing's ever been so clear
I can't find the words to say
Even though you've never been near

We've traveled throughout history
We never found the time
Now that I can almost touch you
I feel like I'm light years left behind

I don't know what you're thinking
Or if you feel the same
It's breaking my heart again
Feelings I'm trying so hard here to explain

You're breaking my heart today
Although we've never met
I'm not the type to feel this way
If I don't tell you then I may forever regret

You're breaking my heart today
The most beautiful girl in the world
Although I've never seen your face
My heart is with you, girl

We've traveled throughout history
It's the only way for this to be
I've never once felt this way
Is there something there between you and me
