The Last Drop Of Summer

By Bruce Clifford

I’m tasting the last drop of summer
The memories we made
Now that it’s over
Our dreams begin to fade

Taking it all in
The last drop of summer
Just as soon as it did begin
Nothing seems to last forever

Now as we go our separate ways
We take with us those memories we made
And if by chance you hear our melody playing in your head
It will remind you of that summer we had

Taking it all in
The last drop of love
As quickly as things settled in
Soon came the time to move along

Taking it all in
The last drop of summer
Just as soon as it did being
Nothing seems to last forever
no no
The last drop of summer.
