One Has to Wonder

By Bruce Clifford

She got called out
She took it in stride
She left the room
She went out for a ride

He got messed up
He landed in space
He jumped on a log
He fell on his face

One has to wonder how they made it to here
There’s no way to know if things were made clear
One has to wonder what they’re doing over here
The law of attraction and the fear of fear

He got locked up
She got chemical guys
He went in front of the judge
She wore a disguise

One has to wonder how they made it to here
There’s no way to know if things were made clear
One has to wonder what they’re doing over here
The law of attraction and the fear of fear
One has to wonder

She got through the door
She took it in stride
She sat in a room
She lost all her pride

He got sober and tired
He reached for the top
He told his goodbyes
He asked this all to stop
