Pure Energy

By Bruce Clifford

Holding on to the side of a mountain
Is like holding on to your favorite sock
Letting go of the emotion inside of you
Feel the breeze when it's time to rock

The world's a blur when distance collides
Crashing into objects with intent to sacrifice
Bleeding hearts tender their resignation to the sky
Lift up your wings and learn how to fly

Living on emotion
Living on borrowed time
Feel the pure energy pull you inside

Touch the cosmic ocean
Reflections collide
Taste the pure energy tremble inside

Time has new meaning when heartache prevails
Hate is the reflection of our success when we fail
We count our treasures one moment at a time
Hold up your hands and learn how to fly

Living on emotion
Living on borrowed time
Feel the pure energy pull you inside

Touch the cosmic ocean
Reflections collide
Taste the pure energy tremble inside

Pure energy take me in
Pure energy

Holding on to the side of a river
Is like holding on to the edge of space
Feel the wind and the chaos inside you
In the end it will fall into place
There is no time to waste

Pure energy
