There Was A Moment

By Bruce Clifford

There was a moment I felt lost in time
There was a second I didn't survive
But you kept me alive

There was a reason you came here to me
There's got to be meaning in this to believe
I don't have answers to laws of time and space
I look for the love that shines and glows from your face

There was a moment I thought I could die
There was a second when I lost my mind

You kept me alive
You kept me whole
You kept me as one
From going out of control

You kept me together
You kept me in tact
You kept me from running
From my own sneak attack

There is no wine to cure my ill's
There are no answers in bottles and pills
There's no prescription or easy way out
There are no classes to tell us what this is all about
There's no easy way out

There was a reason you came here to me
There's got to be meaning in this to believe
I don't have answers to laws of time and space
I look for the love that shines and glows from your face

There was a moment I thought I could die
There was a second when I lost my mind

You kept me alive
You kept me whole
You kept me as one
From going out of control
