In A Minute

By Bruce Clifford

During the time we were born
A song wasn't far away
The lonely get so deep inside
Mother had nothing to say
Time would come another day

Riding it out in the storm
Trying to get swept away
Looking for places to hide
Nothing's in the usual way
Finding a reason to stay

In a minute the whole world changed
In a minute nothing was the same
In a minute time that was stood still
In a minute they went for the kill
Did it for the thrill

Sorting the right from the wrong
Living in fear and dismay
Hoping to get off this ride
Take me somewhere far away
Time would come another day

I can't wait an entire life for happiness
We can be whole

In a minute the whole world changed
In a minute nothing was the same
In a minute time that was stood still
In a minute they went for the kill
Did it for the thrill

In a minute nothing was left out
In a minute we forgot what it's all about
In a minute memories fade to black
In a minute we fell under attack
Never turning back
