Common Courtesy

By John I. Blair

I would treat you
With common courtesy
And mind me
How it got that name.
It should not be rare,
Not made much of,
Just a tall bar
By which to mark
What I do,
The norm
That my first thought
Is how you feel,
Not yes or no.
