I'm Not That Type of Man

By Bruce Clifford

I'm not the kind of man who likes to fall apart
I've never been one to adjust or play games with the heart
I'm not the type of soul to gather dust in from the storm
I've never fallen short, but I can't remember the day I was born
I'm not the kind of man who would cause you any pain
I could never break your heart or hurt you in any way

But it's so hard for me to tell what you are thinking
Sometimes I think I can read it
Sometimes I feel so lost

I can't erase the things I dream when I'm asleep
I gather in the day all truth in front of me
I can't fall out of touch but I know you are not here
I try to remain in focus and keep this all crystal clear

I'm not the kind of man who likes to miss a step
I could never have let this get to me but If I didn't I might regret
I'm not the type of soul to gather dust in from the storm
I've never fallen short, but I can't remember the day I was born
I'm not the kind of man who would cause you any pain
I could never break your heart or hurt you in any way
