We Took It to The Edge

By Bruce Clifford

Water drops and thunder
isotopes of wonder
Neon dramatic is the rage
False calamity, turn the page

Catch the falling laughter
See what used to come after
Clinging static is the rave
All the data stored and saved

Numbers falling fast
Letters are over riding
Broken hearts never last
How many are worth saving
How many are forgiving

We took it to the edge
We took it to the edge

Days and nights of wonder
Headed for the covers
The line of capsules in demand
Watch them fall where they stand
Are we better off waiting here for the
invisible stairway to arrive

See the time that's shifted
The lonely and the gifted
Hydro dramatic is the rage
In just one lifetime, turn the page

Numbers falling fast
Letters are over riding
Broken hearts never last
How many are worth saving
How many are forgiving

We took it to the edge
We took it to the edge
Are we better off waiting here for the
invisible stairway to the sky
