Report on Baby

By Lena Carroll

New Page 1

Melinda Ellen turned over today

An  achievement quite worthy of praise.

For that's a lot of action

From an oldster of 91 days.

Oh what a beautiful baby

            She's her Mama's delight

As she smiles, and coos and gurgles

There never was a lovelier sight.

She has pretty, bright eyes of blue

And the cutest button of a nose,

Fat little painted fingers

            And chubby, tiny pink toes.

She's my Melinda Ellen,

            Named for great-grandma you see.

Someone tiny and precious

            And very dear to me.
