Butterfly in the Sun

By Bruce Clifford

Butterfly in the sun
Tell me you're not the only one
Butterfly wings take flight
Where do you go when it gets late at night

Fly away, Butterfly on wings
Here to stay as your harmony and poetry sings

Butterfly in the sun
Tell me your life has just begun
Butterfly lands to feed
It's as if there is nothing else you need

Fly away, Butterfly on wings
Here to stay as your harmony and poetry sings

I can hear you at least for the moment
Clarity to heal
I can feel you touching at my soul
I know it's all so real

Fly away, butterfly on wings
It's another day as your melody and poetry sings

Butterfly in the sun
Tell me you're not the only one
Butterfly in the air so free
I know you are exactly as you were meant to be
