Dot Com

By Bruce Clifford

In a dot com world with temperamental psychos
Breathing the same air we need
Taking up our innocent space
Control the masses and lie and waste

So you think you got one up on me, dot com age
I've been reading the stars and creating the stage
Talk to me now and talk me down from this wire
I'm lifting the flag and it's taking me higher

Look what you've done now
You've turned a new page
Making it all fantasy
Playing games with love and hate

Mixed emotions now tearing at my heart
In a dot come world where trolls play their own part

It's not like they're falling into a deep religion
It's not like message sent by carrier pigeon
It's not God or Satan has taken their grip
It's not they bring you here on a long and regrettable trip

Look what you've done now
You've turned a new page
Making it all fantasy
Playing games with love and hate

Mixed emotions now tearing at my heart
In a dot com world where trolls play their own part
