Don't Lose That Smile

By Bruce Clifford

Don't lose that smile
Even when the world throws trouble your way
Don't lose that smile
Even when the pain seems to be too much to take
Don't lose that smile

I remember long ago
You were someone I wanted to know
Then this thing called life got in the way
I have never forgotten that day
When I first looked into your eyes

Now we're here once again
You're someone I am proud to call a friend
All the years left in between
It doesn't matter what they all mean
You never lost that smile

Don't lose that smile
Even when the world throws trouble your way
Don't lose that smile
Even when the pain seems to be too much to take
Don't lose that smile

I remember long ago
You were someone I wanted to know
All the years left in between
They haven't change the most beautiful thing
You never lost that smile
