Now You're Here

By Bruce Clifford

Thinking back without regret
The decisions made as we try to forget
The pain and the hurt that continues to seep in
This is not a race to gain and win

Memories fade and scars remain
What is left, what are you trying to gain
Everyone has lost at such a cost
Time moves on and now you're here

Now you're here to brighten my day
Now you're here as you erase the pain
Now you're here and it's such a great thing
Now you're here and I can once again hear you sing

The past is done but the future is now
Why dwell on those who don't care how
The future is bright when yesterday was grim
Take a hold of the light and feel the love begin
