This Thing Called Fate

By Bruce Clifford

This thing called fate
Did it come too late
Or did it come on time
It didn't cost us a dime

This thing called fate
It can be so great
Why did we miss so many years
All the joy and all the tears
Now somehow we are all here

I have so many stories I want to share
All the twists and turns that have brought us all to here

This thing called fate
Knocking at our gate
All of our visions and our dreams
How do we know what all of this means
All of the tides and each extreme
All of the years missing in between
If it were anything less what would this all mean

This thing called fate
It can be so great
Why did we miss so many years
All the joy and all the tears
Now somehow we are all here
We are all here
