What's on Your Mind

By Bruce Clifford

Clear my mind from what it's thinking
Maybe I should have had a night of drinking
Soul searching and ball room brawls
Waiting on the couch for that casting call

Talk to me girl we can't pretend
We have our memories and place to defend
Destiny fades as the dust settles in
Take me back to where we learned how to begin

When the air is stale and the nights are long
The chaos keeps running and toying with our minds
When the air is stale and we can't get along
What are we really going to find
What's on your mind

High speed now
Things move very fast
Another wave is coming in
Is this the one that will last

When the air is stale and the nights are long
The chaos keeps running and toying with our minds
When the air is stale and we can't get along
What are we really going to find
What's on your mind

Clear my mind from what it's thinking
Maybe I should have had less pain and more believing
Captivating images of emotional distress
What's on your mind is only a guess
