Live, for The Day

By Phillip Hennessy

Live, for The Day

The danger has gone
the shock has arrived
You know how it works,
it's part of the ride.

You paid to get on,
you want to get off,
But the darn thing won't stop.
Hold on, stay alive.

The rhythm of Life
says stop, Now and then
You take a deep breath,
and get going again.

Slowly at first, 'cause
you know, when It's fast
One trip, in your lifetime
It could be your last.

Miss a go, you miss the fun
It's to-and-fro, for everyone
Some stay on long,
and some fall off.
Some don't belong,
and some are too soft

The danger is there,
It won't go away
Respect it. Beware.
and Live,
for the day.
