At first glance
My car looks black,
Drab and boring.

But I know better;
I’ve seen it freshly washed
And shining in the sun.

It’s midnight blue
Aglow with tiny flecks
That glitter as you watch.

At first glance
I look old and dull;
But when I’m freshly washed
And shining in the sun ...
