Out of Control

By Bruce Clifford

Thread the needle, all for one
Take the antidote while on the run
Point your finger, raise the blame
Counting your excuses is your game

Reach for stardom, touch the streets
End up with a mouth full of lies and deceit
Flick the switches, chaos rings
Calls to nowhere, bouncing springs
You ended up in the gutter

You’re out of control
You’re stuck on your phone
Lost in your mind
Wasting our time

Tell a lie, hit the girl
Shock and awe in your internet world
Allergic to water, wash your soul
Chain the doors, locked in your hold

You’re out of control
You’re stuck in black mold
Making excuses
Lies and abuses
