What A Trip It Has Been

By John I. Blair

What a trip it has been,
Growing older every day,

Enjoying spring and summer,
Fall, and winter sun,

Watching wrinkles spread
And hair go gray,

Seeing the boy I used to hold
Cherish children of his own.

I know full well
This journey has its ending

But feel blessed in every way
To be on it, not yet done.
