Deep In Thought

By Bruce Clifford

I wonder if she remembers all the things we’ve been through
Does she have a second thought of my hollow empty feelings and blues
Will she ever think about that passing moment in time
I wonder if she remembers a life we once tried to define

I wonder if she ever thinks about the past and all it meant
Does she ever dream about all the precious time we spent
The past is never far away as time speeds along this highway
I wonder if she ever thinks about all the words still left to say

Deep in thought
The edges of time
All we have fought
A world redefined

I wonder if she remembers all the music in our heads
Does she ever sing a tune to remind herself nothing is ever dead
Will she ever drive down the street known as Memory Lane
I wonder if she remembers a time where the future still remained

Deep in thought
The edges of time
All we have fought
Dreams redefined

I wonder if she ever thinks about the past and all it meant
Does she ever dream about all the precious time we spent
The past is never far away as time speeds along this highway
I wonder if she ever thinks about all the words still left to say

Dreams redefined
Life redefined
A world redefined
