Arranged Marriage

By Bruce Clifford

I thought it was going to be an arranged marriage
Someone I thought you knew from where you came from
I guess those plans did change
Still, we went our separate ways
I thought it was going to be an arranged marriage
An arranged marriage

I don’t know if you ever thought about me
I don’t know if you remember how we used to be
Life went on and on in our own separate ways
Here we are now and it all seems so vague

I thought it was going to be an arranged marriage
Someone I thought you knew from where you came from
I guess those plans did change
Still, we went our separate ways
I thought it was going to be an arranged marriage
An arranged marriage
The plans must have changed
