Did You or Not?

By Walt Perryman

Do you remember going to Church as a kid,
And some of the stupid things that you did!

It was worse when you had a friend with you,
The giggles were terrible when there were two.

You’d try to stop giggling, but it was all in vain,
And the congregation thought you were insane!

Then your grandmother would grab your ear,
After that your giggling was replaced with fear.

When I wrote this, I guess I was asking you,
But if I were truthful, I’d tell you, “I did it too”
