In Your Goldfish Bowl

By Bruce Clifford

When you tend to shake
And when your heart decides to break
I will be there in your waiting room
listening to your ambiguous rage

I'm the substitute for your mass destruction
I'm the Romeo of your deep desires
I'm the panic switch in the depths of your soul
I'm liquid uranium in your goldfish bowl

I'm the final entry in your book of life
I'm the distant quasar on a moonlit night
I'm the mountain top filled with rain and snow
I'm platonic matter in your goldfish bowl

"Sit with me a while
Talk to me a while
Hear me for a while
Be with me for a while"

When you tend to shake
Is when you fall apart, disintegrate,
I will listen to your shattered illusions,
listening to all that's come of age

I'm the right from wrong in your self destruction
I'm the Romeo of your deep desire
I'm the faulty switch that's been bought and sold
I'm indigo and perfection in your goldfish bowl
I'm liquid uranium in your goldfish bowl
I'm plutonic matter in your goldfish bowl
In your goldfish bowl
In your goldfish bowl
