What Happened?

The book fell down the stairs
The cat ran around the corner
Troubles still come in pairs
Life can really be a downer

The table is still set
And the TV won't change channels
We're all caught in the net
The wind blows but won't fill the sails

I must ask the question:
"I heard the news but what happened?"
I've got debt by the ton
You spoke, but what did you intend?

What happened? I don't know!
But tomorrow will be better
I'll not stop-just go slow
Success is here; I just met her
