Five Fishes Am I

By Yopo

The eye is a fish that swims through a sea of sight
The ear is a fish that swims through a sea of sound
The nose is a fish that swims through a sea of scent
The tongue is a fish that swims through a sea of taste
The skin is a fish that swims through a sea of touch

Five fishes of the Sun am I,
Five fishes brightly swimming
And the world is a quiet pool,
A sunlit stream,
A rushing river,
A rolling ocean
Five fishes of the Sun am I.

Five fishes of the Moon am I
Five fishes brightly dreaming
And the world is a shadowed pool,
A moonlit stream,
A rushing river,
A rolling ocean
Five fishes of the Moon am I.
