What's Next?

By Lseeker

Gryphon, I need a hug, a need, a longing,
I need a flood of my heart roaming.
I need a moment's breath away from my nightmares,
And be caught up in a moment of forgetful cares.
I need a kiss on my lips from some angel unfound,
Only dancing in my dreams abound.
I'm but a simple man, not craving anything more
But to seek the sense of my heart and faith's core.
To breathe again my fire's ambitions. To seize another day proudly.
And walk strong and tall like I use to be.
Because, silently, somewhere,
I didn't know, or care.
Yet, so haphazardly to my knowledge I have found
That my care today is no longer sound.
Angels rescue me from the hellish plea. Call the trumpets down to us.
And dispose of our childish fuss.
Lighting strike a tree but hold it standing aloft.
And cure the hacking of my brother's dying cough.
Candle burns tonight, so dimly bright.
Who is left to fight for what was once right.
Strangely I'm cast in my own mind's hazy imagery.
Not really seeing clearly.
And ask, oh life, simple but old question.
What's next.....
