Peace Sought

By Lseeker

And so it begins,
as the night falls calmly by,
and the stars twinkle with a soft lit sigh.
To the twisted depths of places rather untouched,
yet in them we learn and experience so much.
Into the halls of soul we plunder,
yet whisper in wonder.
Only a vision past the eyes
when closed, and dipped deeply
with the vast delight.
Only a mission that we choose,
to escape the dark dread of missing sight.
It's an adventure into the realms of imagination,
a lure to our self-exploration.
A trip into the night of deepening thoughts,
and dreams,
before the heart slips into wrought,
and breaks open its seams.
A destination away from here
in the mind of chaos,
yet divine in its plan.
A dive into the placid lake of loss
yet glorified with breath while
lying naked upon its island.
And hopefully when I'm done, I will be blessed.
Perhaps nothing new or simply lacking less,
but a feel of God's spiritual presence,
to fill the voids within my essence.
And when my eyes open,
the feel will wash me warmly,
spilling over wounds that time will mend.
So Peace is a gift always,
a treasure not hidden in some forgotten place.
It's coherently real,
along with the deep satisfying sigh
that we feel.
