Bath

By M. Jay Mansfield

I sit in my room alone...
soaking away troubles...
ignoring wife and phone...

Music and incense...
bath lights low...
mystical Imprints...
inside the candles glow...

Headphones engulf me...
wrapped in the musics lilt...
peace and quiet, and me...

Lost in each drum cadence...
a thousand lives march through...
the fifers trill radiates...
and I am light through and through...

alone in my room...
I sit and I soak...
alone in my room...

The glow and fire light...
and haze of sweet clouds...
another day becomes night...
the weight lifts from my brow...

alone in my room...
I sit and I live...
alone in my room...
