Gone

By Brooke Clifford

She sat alone
her head towards the sky
wishing to be free
She may have wished too hard
or maybe it was too long
And one day she was gone
No one bothered to look for her
They didn't want to search
for the girl they never missed
She looked around her
she was finally free
She wandered around the empty space
wondering where she was
She saw the sun and stood there
wishing to have wings to fly
She may have wished too hard
Or maybe it was too long
and one day she was gone
