Just-Now

By John I. Blair

Freeze-frame the moment,
Snatch the cusp of time,
Magnify it to eternity,
Supplicate its mercy.

Just-now is reality;
Let it come and come and come!
Don’t shun your chance to dance with life
Face-to-face in this pinpoint place.

Be ecstatic for the instant;
You’ll not be more truly here
Than when you bar out future, past,
And catch your soul alone at last.
