Description of Audio (Symphony of the Rainforest)

By Brooke Clifford

Chatters of calls and shouts
from every which way filled the area,
a roar of a waterfall screaming behind it.
Silence befalling the lush, green flora,
before picking it up again.
Big, tall trees, wrapped in vines,
mask who makes the calls and shouts,
but the sound echoes crisply, defined.
The canopy allows a tiny bit of sunlight
to stream through in a speckled array,
pouring down onto the brown, dirty Earth.
Sit in silence,
and listen to the symphony of the rainforest,
with the chatters of calls and shouts,
and a roar of a waterfall behind it.

Comment: Okay#comma# this is what happened. My English teacher does this creative journal every now and then#comma# where she assigns random topics to express our creativity. This one assignment was where we had to listen to an audio clip#comma# and then write (in whatever style we wanted) a description of the images that were in our head. So#comma# with a rainforest-esque type audio#comma# I naturally had to write about that. I also drew a picture#comma# but... I didn#apos#t feel like uploading it because it had the paper lines on it. So#comma# you won#apos#t be able to see it. ^^;
