Will We Ever Learn

By Bruce Clifford

Will we ever learn
Will we grow up and let the heart be free
Will we ever get burned
Will we find our hidden sanity

Lessons to the young
Memories seem to fade through the years
The climate shifts my design
Dreams of laughter, sight, and fears
Dreams of time and elliptical tears
Dreams of space and holding on
Dreams of the day we knew we would survive

Will we ever learn
We we ever face the truth
We we cut this endless abuse
Will we have the faith to decide
Will we get on with this ride

Will we ever learn
